TNF-Experience-Pad Thai at Baboona Beachfront Restaurant:
Well before going to Thailand, I did my homework on the food and restaurants of Patttaya, Thailand. I was in search of a restaurant where I could get the real flavours of Pad Thai. When I landed there I spoke to local people of Thailand, they mentioned various Restaurants on Beach front lane of Pattaya. I decided to walk with a thought I will choose a random place for the food.
I found Baboona Beach Front Restaurant, it was actually facing the beach with quite decent ambience so I decided to step into the place.
The restaurant had a great ambience with covered fine-in space, or even it had a beach-view open space where you can enjoy some amazing Thai food and drinks. It was a traditional Thai cuisine restaurant which served all type Thai meals and other dishes.

So I was at Table No 7, I was thirsty, hungry and curious for the dish. As I was experiencing Thai food for the first time so the menu was a surprise test paper for me, the words which I understood and was a matter for me was Chicken Pad Thai and Heineken Beer 😉 .
So to make my lunch simple I order a Chicken Pad Thai.
The Taste:
The taste was different from the usual noodles, my tongue was fighting with many flavours at a same time. it was sour, tangy, sweet, chilly, crunchiness. The noodles was very dry, unlike other noodles, there were no use of spices. It was stir fried in very less oil, tang was from tamarind and sweetness was from palm sugar.
The plate was very healthy, first the noodles was made of rice flour unlike other noodles which are made of baking flour. then it had…..
- Stir fried Chicken
- Roasted Peanuts
- Egg
- Bean Sprouts
- Green onions
So it was a power pack of proteins, carbs and fibres.

Looking to the above values, I would say if we can make little alteration to the dish like, use of natural sweetness like honey instead of sugar and using olive oil for frying can make the dish more healthy.
Conclusion:
In my 3 days of stay at Thailand I have tried this dish in many places, all the restaurant had the same taste, but the noodles served in the street corners was different, it was much made like a street food using more of spices and red chilli flakes.
Overall the dish was unique of its own type. What I like the most is the noodles was made of rice so it is healthier than baking flour.
So whenever you go to Thailand, so try out this signature dish of Thailand.
